Icing is crucial in many industrial (aeronautics, 3D printing) and environmental contexts (ice formation, sea-ice, permafrost). Ice formation on structures depends on various aspects, from the thermal exchanges between the different phases to the surrounding flows. I will discuss few aspects of these dynamics, where both liquids and ice interact at the capillary scale: in particular, the formation and selection of ice shape will be investigated with respect to the wetting properties of ice and water.
